McGregor-Mayweather in MMA rematch?

CONOR McGregor says he made about $ 130 million from his clash with Floyd Mayweather — and has challenged his rival to a rematch.

Even though Mayweather cruised to victory to take his record to 50-0, McGregor says it is time the pair did it all over again.

The Irish fighter revealed Mayweather said he would be prepared to fight under MMA rules, but McGregor says whatever format they choose, he is sure he will win the rematch.

During a recent Q & A during the “An Evening with Conor McGregor” event in Glasgow, McGregor said: “What sickens me is that the little motherf***er is retired now.

“If I had another go with him, under boxing rules, I’d get that win. He had to change his whole approach. With those lessons I learned, with another go around, I’d get it.

“He’s 50-0 and getting on, I’m not calling him out. I’ll sit back. We’ll see how he gets on with this round of money. Maybe I’ll get another call. Originally he was saying an MMA bout next. … That’s what he said before the fight.

“He did say an MMA fight. So if he wants to, lets f***ing do it. There’s not a hope in hell. … I’d like to see him come over to our side and have a knock.

“I earned their respect and put myself out there. Style over to my side and earn our respect now.”

When asked if he had cleared $ 100 million from the fight, McGregor added: “It’s around that. We’re still in the counting game.

“Some people are saying it’s this. Other people are saying it’s that. You know, you get your show money and then you gather all your other information — the gate, the pay-per-view, the sponsorship revenue, the merchandise sales.

“It’s my first time as a promoter of an event, so it’s my first time kind of diving into all of these things. I’m building a nice little team of auditors to make sure all these numbers people are telling me are correct.”

McGregor’s next move is likely to be a return to the Octagon, with big UFC fights against Nate Diaz or interim lightweight champion Tony Ferguson as possibilities.
