Lucifer showrunner Ildy Modrovich has sent fans of the Netflix show into meltdown as she revealed production on season six had begun. After months of speculation, Netflix confirmed the show had been renewed for a sixth and final season. Ildy teased eager fans with a behind-the-scenes snap as the production team reunited to get started on ideas for how Lucifer Morningstar’s (Tom Ellis) story will come to an end.
Lucifer fans were devastated when Fox cancelled the series after three seasons.
After an exhaustive Twitter campaign, Netflix answered fans’ prayers and renewed the show for two more seasons.
Rumours of a sixth season were rife after it was announced Tom had agreed on a new deal with Netflix.
Last week, the streaming giant confirmed the news and showrunner Ildy gave fans an insight into the production.

Meanwhile, this isn’t the first time Ildy has sent fans into meltdown as she made a huge guest star announcement on Twitter.

Ildy posted the tweet alongside a TV Line article which gave an insight into the guest star’s character and an image of Rob on set.
In the photo, Ildy and Rob seem to be in the middle of a tense conversation with Lucifer’s Tom.
Rob will appear in season five as Vincent Le Mec, a sinister French Mercenary with a dark past.
Vincent’s violent work brings him to Los Angeles where he gets caught up with Lucifer and Chloe Decker (Lauren German).
Lucifer season 5 premieres on Netflix on August 21.
