BBC Breakfast was back on Monday morning with Dan Walker in his usual spot, but fans were left confused as his co-host Louise Minchin was not sitting alongside him. But that wasn’t the only change to the show as meteorologist Carol Kirkwood was absent too.
Joining Dan on the red sofa was Sally Nugent on Monday.
BBC Breakfast viewers are used to see her present the regular sports report throughout the morning, but for this week, she was sitting in for Louise.
This wasn’t the only presenter shake-up as, Dan and Louise are usually joined by Carol for the latest weather reports.
She was also absent and it was meteorologist Matt Taylor who was standing in for her instead.

“Now where’s my blonde wig…Full forecast on @bbcbreakfast.”
And while some missed Carol, they were enjoying the weather reports Matt was delivering.
Another viewer said: “Matt’s not a bad replacement for Carol. Morning Matt! #BBCBreakfast.”
And last but not least, a viewer said: “I hope Carol has a loveelyyy break from #BBCBreakfast. We will look forward to having you back.”
