Later on her show, Lorraine spoke to Mary Berry, who worked with Kate Middleton and Prince William for a Christmas baking special, A Berry Royal Christmas.
“It’s a bit sad, isn’t it?” Lorraine asked.
Mary agreed, replying: “It is very sad. They are just like you and me.
“They love each other and want to do everything they can for the country. I promise you.”
