Lavrov & Pompeo to meet on sidelines of Russia-US summit in Helsinki

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo will meet at the Russia-US summit in Helsinki next week, according to Russian news agencies citing a foreign ministry statement. They will accompany their countries’ leaders, Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, to their first dedicated bilateral meeting. Pompeo is also scheduled to meet his Finnish counterpart, Timo Soini, to discuss bilateral and regional issues.
