Michael explained how the time he was in a coma is a period of his life he does not or will not be able to recollect.
After revealing how his wife Emma had sent emails and letters to his family about his condition, stating: “That’s another journal I’m very moved by. It’s very difficult for me to read it.
“But at the same time, [The diary] tells me a period of my life that doesn’t exist – for nearly seven weeks, there’s no memory of it,” the GMB guest explained.
“I am being told I hallucinated, I was delirious, I was thrashing around, but I’ve hardly got any memory of it.
“There’s one memory I have is being in mittens and trying to get them off and the nurse saying ‘relax, save your energy’.”
