Justice League HUGE end credits scene news: Is it Green Lantern or Shazam?

One of the ways in which Marvel sems to have maintained an upper hand over DC is their clever use of end-credits scenes.

These don’t just sneakily preview upcoming movies, they keep breathless fans rooted in their seats until the final credit rolls, which intensifies the whole experience until the very last gasp.

Well, unless, they’re playing a trick and have a sneaky Captain America Public Service anouncement.

By contrast, the rather more serious DC has only ever used one post-credits scene until now…

Suicide Squad had a post-cedits scene which took a leaf out of Marvel’s book.

The teaser showed Bruce Wayne offering Amanda Waller information of meta-humans including Wonder Woman, Cyborg and Aquaman. This lead nicely in Justice League and now it seems that movie is about to do the same.

Jason Momoa spilled the news on BBC Radio 2 this week.

Momoa was asked if fans should stay in their seats if there was a post-credits scene.

He said: “They do, they do. You’ve gotta sit through the whole thing and go through the credits… I forgot that it was in the script. It’s fantastic.“

The next scheduled DCEU movie is Aquaman in December 2018, but it is unlikley Momoa would forget a scene that is all about him.

There was a huge tease that Green Lantern would be appearing in Justice League – but no clear indication of how he would fit into the established storyline.

The Chinese preview screening generated huge headlines when one social media tweet went viral talking about a “light of green.”

It would make sense if the post-credits scene was a standalone moment foreshadowing the Green Lantern Corps movie which isn’t due until July 2020.

Another option is the mysterious Shazam movie which is due the year before in April 2019.

JUSTICE LEAGUE IS OUT ON NOVEMBER 17
