The Egypt international joined Liverpool in a relatively innocuous move in the summer for £34million.
That was now proven to be an excellent piece of business by the Reds with Salah leading Liverpool’s charge to finish second behind Manchester City.
Liverpool may be out of the FA Cup, but a 5-0 thrashing of Porto in their Champions League last-16 first leg has led some to suggest Klopp’s could mount a surprise challenge for the trophy.
Salah has already equalled Luis Suarez’s best ever goal tally while at Liverpool with 31 goals.
Former Liverpool star Redknapp has pointed to the fact that Brendan Rodgers was often not praised enough for helping the Uruguay international become one of the world’s best strikers.
And Redknapp doesn’t want to see the same mistake made about Klopp with Salah.
“When Suarez was at Anfield, all the focus was on him and very little attention went to the man who told him what to do. Brendan Rodgers was almost an afterthought,” he told the Daily Mail.
“When Suarez was at Ajax, he was a good player. When he went to Liverpool, he turned into a great one. At some stage, we have to credit the coach.
“So we should not sweep what Jurgen Klopp is doing under the carpet.
“Salah was good at Roma but he’s become great at Liverpool.
“Sometimes, a player can have the right manager at the right club at the right time. That’s what is happening now.”
