James Jordan injury: Will Dancing On Ice star MISS OUT on final due to ripped hernia?

Dancing On Ice 2019 has seen the stars suffer their fair share of injuries during training.

The latest celebrity to suffer a shock injury is Strictly Come Dancing star James Jordan, who ripped a hernia earlier in the week.

Fans were left fearing he may not make it to the weekend and could be forced to pull out of the show.

Fortunately, the 40-year-old has confirmed to fans he will be competing tonight and “nothing” will stop him performing.

He told his 245,000 Twitter followers: “THANK YOU EVERYONE for all of your kind messages.

“YES I have ripped my hernia open again but nothing will stop me performing on @dancingonice until you guys stop voting.

“And I never said I was pulling out!

“I know my body very well and I will be fine….. love you all.”

It came after James revealed to the Daily Star about his injury, explaining: “I’ve ripped open my hernia.

“I’ve also got lower back pain because of it. I’m falling to bits.”

He added: “Managing injuries is getting harder as you get older.”

James previously underwent an operation for a double hernia before the ITV show and kept his fans updated with a photo from his hospital bed.

“Here’s me just before surgery,” he shared. “Amazing what can happen in one year.

“We were both devastated to have to cancel our tour, but I’ve always said the old saying, ‘One door closes but another will always open.’

“Now I’m preparing for @dancingonice and I’m so excited to show you all how hard I’ve been working.”

His injury isn’t the only thing James has been struggling with during the series as he admitted he has found it hard to spend time with wife Ola.

“I’m way all the time at the moment because I’m living in Bovingdon so I can rehearse,” he told The Sun.

“Last week, I only went home for one night. I literally just dropped my stuff off, repacked and came up, so I’m not getting much time to practise baby-making at all.

“Ola comes to the show on Sunday evening and then I don’t see her all week.”

Dancing On Ice airs tonight on ITV at 6pm.
