Ivanka Trump, 36, is often said to be the favourite daughter of her father Donald Trump, 71, who is President of the USA.
It is often overlooked Donald has a younger daughter, Tiffany, 24, who currently studies at Georgetown Law in Washington DC.
Donald certainly seemed to highlight one daughter over the other, as he did when Tiffany made a rare public appearance this week.
Speaking at an infrastructure talk in Ohio yesterday, Donald acknowledged he had his two daughters in the audience.
“Speaking of a job well done, we have two of my daughters here today,” he announced to the crowd.
However, he then went on to highlight Ivanka’s “hard work”, while awkwardly failing to say the same for Tiffany.
Introducing the two women, he continued: “Ivanka, who is working hard on infrastructure! Ivanka … and Tiffany.”
This isn’t the first time he has been seen to praise Ivanka, who works alongside her father as a senior White House advisor.
Donald called Ivanka “a great, great beauty” in a 2004 interview with New York Magazine, adding: “every guy in the country wants to go out with my daughter.”
After being accused of favouritism in the same interview, he said: “You know I have another daughter, with Marla, named Tiffany?
“She’s just a beautiful great kid also. But it’s very separate. When you have separate wives, it’s sort of . . . separate.”
He also appeared to forget his younger daughter on Election Day 2016, in a speech to Fox & Friends.
He said: “I’m very proud ’cause Don and Eric and Ivanka and, you know, to a lesser extent ’cause she just got out of school, out of college, but, uh, Tiffany, who’s also been so terrific.”
Tiffany Trump’s Instagram reveals further clues that she is less close to her father compared to Ivanka.
While Ivanka today posted a gushing post about her father’s work, Tiffany hasn’t posted about her father since June 19 2017, when she posted a photo of them together captioned: “Happy Father’s Day @realdonaldtrump!”.
Earlier this week, Ivanka Trump posted Instagram photos which proved controversial among her followers.
She posted three images together in a slideshow format of her two year old Theodore as a tiny newborn baby, to commemorate his birthday.
So why did some of Ivanka’s followers take issue with the photos? The images proved controversial after one follower called them a “distraction” from the Stormy Daniels affair rumours circulating her father Donald Trump.
One follower wrote: “She should have a separate proud mom account for these shots instead of using her kids for distraction.”
Another called Ivanka “disgusting” for posting photographs of her children at this time. The comment reads: “Trumps are having a STORMY week so let’s bring out the kid pics. Disgusting and despicable.”
