The actress is about to star in Sky One’s Brassic and was on hand to fill in all the details about her new comedic role.
However, talk turned to her partner, Mark Wright, who very famously hails from Essex.
Eamonn was keen to know if she felt a North/South divide considering she is from Manchester.
Michelle laughed, saying she always gets asked about that before adding: “I don’t feel the divide.
“The only thing we do is when we go [for] pie and mash he gets liquor and I gets the gravy.”
Liquor is a savoury parsley sauce which is a famous pie and mash topping in the south of England.
However, Michelle being a northerner, she would no doubt opt for “gravy every time.”
Rochelle, who is from the same county as Mark, seemed to correct Michelle on which side she is on.
The presenter said: “As an Essex girl, no they’re the rules, Michelle.”
The gang all laughed about the trivial joke, before finding out more about Brassic.
Michelle plays feisty Erin who plans to take her child Tyler out of Manchester for a better life, but she realises it’s not as easy to do that.
The actress explained: “We focus heavily on mental health. The guy who created the show, Joe Gilgun, is very open about the fact that he has bi-polar and you see that thread running through the whole series…
“It puts it in a positive light as well. People talking about it and it doesn’t have to be a taboo subject.”
Describing her new character, Erin – a former wild child and now fiercely independent young mum – Michelle revealed: “She’s a bit ballsy, feisty, a lioness.”
She also laughed how Mark could probably describe her so she found it easy to slip into the role.
Yesterday on This Morning, Anne Reid shocked Eamonn Holmes with a naked admission.
When chatting about her new show Sanditon which contains nudity, Anne laughed how she wasn’t asked.
She cheekily said: “They didn’t ask me. That would put the nation off their tea.”
This Morning airs weekdays on ITV from 10.30am.
