Angry clowns say that the terrifying Pennywise has had a terrible impact on teihr business and created a false impression of what clown really stand for.
The World Clown Association released a statement accusing IT of: “taking something innocent and wholesome and perverting it.”
Stephen King didn’t mince words when he hit back.
ABC news in America interviewed a local clown who said: “It makes us sad, because we want to make people laugh, especially kids.
“For adults to keep us away from children, it’s not fun to do anymore.”
The clown blamed the character for the devastation of clown bookings and added: “This past year it’s been zero. Nobody has called. Nobody is interested.”
