Speaking on the ITV magazine show on Thursday, Holly, 39, gave advice on squabbling families and how to keep the peace.
Referencing her own marriage she said “little things” have made a big “difference”.
She explained: “I think that doing little nice things gives you a bit of leeway in other areas as well.”
Going on to detail how she and Dan have stayed calm, Holly added: “ We’ll be off in different parts of the house and I’ll come back and he’s made a cup of tea or put the washing away and I haven’t asked him and that really makes a difference.

“Did we just call you?” Phillip asked but the caller insisted they’d only just picked up the phone.
But Phillip wasn’t certain as he continued: “This could be the first time that our team has called the same person twice.”
Despite his concerns, they went on with the game and the play won an impressive £3000.
Hitting out at viewers who may complain about the segment, Phillip told fans: “We’ve never had that happen before.
