Good Morning Britain’s Kate Garraway SLAMS Anna Wintour over Queen sunglasses gaffe

Anna, 68, prompted headlines when she failed to remove her infamous sunglasses following Queen Elizabeth II’s first ever appearance at London Fashion Week.

And on Good Morning Britain today, Kate Garraway, 50, appeared to mock the former editor of Vogue.

The host donned an oversized pair of sunglasses, which took up half of her face, at numerous points in the ITV show.

Posing for the camera, Kate laughed: “It does hide the bags mind.”

Co-host Susanna Reid, 47, laughed: ”You haven’t got bags!”

However Kate joked: “Oh I’ve got shopping bags under here.”

The long-standing ITV presenter added that viewers had tweeted her to suggest the real reason they all needed to cover their eyes was because of her sunshine yellow suit.

Before the segment ended, Kate took one more swipe at Anna, insisting: “She should have taken them off.”

When Kate started the show in her sunglasses, viewers seemed confused by the style choice as one tweeted: “Why is Kate Garraway wearing sunglasses?”

A second joked: “Thought @kategarraway was trying to aid a bad hangover for a second.”

Another added: “Well Kate wins – she looks great xxx.”

Just yesterday, Kate was snubbed by a model who she interviewed on Good Morning Britain

Gwilym Pugh appeared on the show to discuss his incredible weight loss which kick-started his modelling career.

However, when the presenter went in for a handshake, the model left her hanging.

Although nothing was said of the moment on air, Twitter was set alight at the very sight of the snub.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays on ITV from 6am.
