Gallen remains undefeated

PAUL Gallen has extended his professional boxing record to 8-0 following a unanimous decision victory over Puna Rasaubale.

The Sharks skipper won a six round decision over the Fijian fighter, who was making his professional debut.

Rasaubale was willing throughout and landed several times but Gallen’s sharper jab and superior conditioning got the job done at Cronulla Leagues Club.

Gallen won on all three cards, 60-53, 59-55 and 59-54, with Rasaubale having a point deducted after he launched an MMA-style spinning backlist in the fourth.

The 36-year old said after the fight it was likely his last bout at Shark Park as speculation mounts he will call time on his boxing career in the near future.

A long-mooted bout with Sonny Bill Williams seems unlikely to eventuate but would still draw serious public interest.
