RONNIE Stewart will be making a quick getaway from Saturday’s special breast cancer fundraiser race day at Doomben to return to his old stomping ground of Singapore.
Jockeys Jim Byrne and Tegan Harrison posed for the camera this week in special pink breeches, which will be worn by riders in races one and five at Doomben on Saturday to raise awareness of breast cancer.

The Brisbane Racing Club will donate $ 5 from every general admission purchase on the day to Breast Cancer Network Australia.
It is the second year the club has held the fundraiser on Caulfield Cup day.
Racegoers are encouraged to wear a touch of pink and there will be entertainment after the final event.
Stewart will be among those donning the pink breeches at Doomben, where his most interesting mount is the resuming stakes winner Saint Patrick’s Day, who runs against older horses in the 1MW. “His trials have been OK and I think he’s matured mentally since we last saw him,” Stewart said.
Stewart spent six years in Singapore but hasn’t ridden at Kranji since he left in the 2011-12 season. He was sought out for the ride on Gold Faith in the El Dorado Classic and local owners and trainers obviously haven’t forgotten him, because he’s secured six other rides at the meeting as well.
Gold Faith runs in the race named after one of Stewart’s favourite horses, on which he won three Gold Cups in Singapore.
“My last ride in Singapore was on El Dorado, so it brings back a few memories,” he said. “It was nice to be able to pick up those other six rides as well, so hopefully I can have a bit of luck.”
