Fortnite Mobile website DOWN, as fans desperately try to sign up for iOS

The Fortnite website has gone down, as iOS users desperately try to sign up for Fortnite Mobile.

Fortnite fans have been greeted with 504 gateway timeout messages when trying to access the iOS sign up website.

Epic Games is yet to confirm an exact time for Fortnite Mobile sign ups, which will go live later today.

The popularity of the game has caused the website to crash, although the problems have since been fixed.

This doesn’t bode well for when the Fortnite Mobile iOS sign ups do go live later today.

Epic Games is expected to announce times later today, so stay tuned for more information.

Fortnite Mobile sign-ups will begin later today on iOS phones and tablets.

Fans will be able to test the experience as part of the Fortnite Invite Event. This will be followed by a full launch later this year.

The mobile port will feature the same 100-person Battle Royale gameplay as the console and PC versions.

This includes the same map, the same unlockable content and even the same weekly updates.

The imminent Fortnite Mobile will be cross-platform between iOS, Android, PC, Mac and Xbox One, and also between iOS, Android, PC, Mac and PS4.

But what fans really want is cross-platform play between PS4 and Xbox One. And it looks like Microsoft is also keen to make this happen.

One fan told Microsoft executive Phil Spencer that he really wanted cross-platform compatibility between PS4 and Xbox One.

Spencer simply replied: “Me 2.” This was followed by an official Fortnite tweet, reading: “We 3!”

This implies that while Microsoft is keen, Sony is reluctant to support the feature.
