Fearless: Viewers HORRIFIED as series drops 'the most SHOCKING scene so far'

WARNING: This article contains spoilers from episode four of Fearless.

The hit drama put Kevin Russell (played by Sam Swainsbury) through a hellish ordeal as he was encouraged by his lawyer Emma Banville (Helen McCrory) to take a plea deal after it appeared he could no longer be proven innocent of murder.

After he was convinced that being charged for manslaughter would be his best option, Kevin attempted to make amends with his son.

As Emma and Kevin’s wife left the pair to share a drink together, Emma seemed hopeful for the outcome, even telling his wife that she’d managed to find him a part-time job.

But with hopes for the future dashed, suddenly Kevin’s son returned outside having left his father alone.

“What happened? What did you do?” he gasped.

“I told him it was all bulls**t. He killed her. I told him I want nothing to do with him,” the boy responded.

Suddenly, Kevin stepped outside and walked in front of a truck, seemingly dead.

Viewers took to Twitter to express their horror at the shocking incident.

One person tweeted: “Flipping awful scene on ITV’s Fearless just now! Really disturbing, not necessary at all. #notneeded #horridscene also far too confusing,” while another said, “Omg #Fearless is too much tonight. What the hell.”

While many viewers were left reeling from the graphic moment, some were also confused at how the character could possibly be alive, as the next scene showed Kevin in hospital.

“Blimey! Kevin couldn’t have survived that surely?” One person exclaimed, while another speculated about the future of the storyline, “Kevin can’t be dead… they’ll never got the truth out… Why Didn’t Emma tell the family the truth & that she believed him?? #Fearless”

The episode finished with Emma in prison and in the hands of a corrupt US military.

Fearless continues next Monday at 9pm on ITV.
