Farmer immortalised in bronze

Ken Farmer during his playing days. The late North Adelaide champion will be immortalised in a bronze statue at Adelaide Oval.

A STATUE of SA goal-kicking legend Ken Farmer will be unveiled at Adelaide Oval tonight just hours before the Crows v Swans AFL blockbuster.

It will be the fourth statue to stand at the redeveloped ground alongside those of Malcolm Blight, Russell Ebert and Barrie Robran.

Farmer played in back-to-back premierships with North Adelaide in 1930-31 and coached premierships at the Roosters in 1949 and 1952.
