Fallout 76 beta times: Xbox One beta release update and PS4 date news

The Fallout 76 beta has been running on Xbox One this past week but has so far only hosted one session.

Unlike other demo tests run by games developers, Bethesda is hosting specific windows for when the game is available to play.

These usually last hours rather than days and are currently only available on Xbox One right now.

The good news is that the Fallout 76 PS4 beta will be rolling out next week, alongside the PC test servers.

WHAT ARE THE FALLOUT 76 BETA TIMES?

The Fallout 76 beta times have been confirmed for October 27 and look to be the second test not favouring fans in the UK.

According to the latest information from Bethesda, beta testing will start at 5PM EST in the United States.

For UK fans, that means another latish night for anyone who wants to play the game for a long time.

The Fallout 76 beta won’t go live until around 10pm in the UK, not that far off the first test on Xbox One.

That one was hosted on October 24 in the UK, not beginning until midnight, leaving many unable to join in.

Today’s beta test will only last two hours, meaning it will technically finish at midnight on October 28.

The good news is that another session is scheduled for Xbox One the following day, meaning a much shorter waiting time.

This one also begins earlier than the previous two, with Bethesda confirming the Fallout 76 beta start time as midday in the United States.

This means a 5pm start in the UK, another session which will last around two hours.

So while the Fallout 76 beta allows gamers to explore the full version of the game, they won’t have time to try that much out.

The next Fallout 76 beta scheduled is dated for October 30, the first to be made available on PS4, Xbox One and PC.

And while PS4 and PC players have to wait a few more days to join in, they can pre-load the game onto their systems right now.

This ensures that they will be ready for the first season on October 30, which will begin at 7pm in the US and midnight on October 31 in the UK.

To get a code for the Fallout 76 beta on PS4, fans need to pre-order the game first.

Pre-ordering the game from the PlayStation Store will automatically enter you into the beta.

If you pre-order the game from retailers like Amazon or Argos, then you’ll need to visit the Bethesda website to redeem your code.

Once you’ve redeemed your code, you’ll be notified when you can pre-load the game for PS4. There’s no word on the file size, but the Xbox One beta is roughly 45GB.

Because Fallout 76 is an online multiplayer game, pre-order customers will need a PlayStation Plus subscription to play.

In a break from the norm, Bethesda has also confirmed that progress will carry over to the final release.

Unfortunately, however, Trophies won’t be available during the beta, so you may have repeated one or two tasks at launch.

Pre-order customers will also need to download the launch version when the release date rolls around.

While fans on PS4 can’t start playing tonight, they have received an update on its length.

A new message on the PlayStation Store confirms how long the new beta will run on PS4.

Dates from the advert have revealed that the Fallout 76 beta will be available to play until November 11.

Running things a little differently from other companies, the Fallout beta will not be available 24hrs a day.

Instead, Bethesda will be looking to try out the game at specific times, meaning it will be available in short bursts.
