England fans chaos: Supporters wreak havoc in Amsterdam ahead of Netherlands match

England face Netherlands in a friendly at the Johan Cruyff Arena later this evening as they prepare for the World Cup.

But fans have been embarrassing themselves in the build up by diving into the canal and throwing liquid as people on canal cruises.

Just 24 hours after Gareth Southgate called on the thugs to be turfed out England fans are on hand causing more havoc in another city.

One video shows a Brit taking his jumper and t shirt off before jumping into the canal.

Another showed a group of supporters waiting on a canal boat to reach a bridge before throwing the contents of their glasses and bottles at them.

Social media users were quick to condemn the actions online.

“Can someone explain to me, how England fans throwing beer over random people passing by is funny? Its just plain embarrassing,” one wrote.

Another said: “England football fans once again reminding us all why everyone thinks they’re a massive bunch of d**ks, I see.”

Another wrote: “Some of England’s away fans are absolute scum like. Do whatever you want but don’t affect innocent people. Jumping in the canal = fine. Throwing beer onto tourists on a boat in the canal = d**kheads.”

Dutch Police have since announced that 25 England fans were detained overnight for drunken behaviour.

England face Netherlands tonight as they look to get ready for the World Cup in Russia.

Jack Wilshere has been left at home with another injury scare leaving the squad looking weak.

Jordan Pickford is expected to get the nod in goal with Eric Dier in a back three and Jordan Henderson wearing the armband in midfield alongside Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain.
