Emmerdale's Danny Miller SCOLDS Robron fans over 'abusive tweets': 'They don't help'

Countless watchers have taken to Twitter to vent their frustration after Robert (played by Ryan Hawley) cheated on his locked-up husband Aaron with Rebecca after finding out his spouse had been using drugs in prison.

Clearly breaking the hearts of Robron fans everywhere, many have taken to the social networking site to slam Robert and the writers of the ITV show.

But actor Danny shared a strong message with viewers this evening, telling them that hateful words were completely unnecessary.

He wrote: “I know it’s not going the way you’d imagined. But it’s soap. There’s loads of twists & turns. The abusive accounts/tweets help nothing! 1/2.”

Though the 26-year-old hinted that things could soon get better for the fan favourites.

“Your passion & love for the characters & the show, makes us want to push you away & pull you back in. Its a journey. Plenty more to come 2/2,” he added.

Tonight’s episode saw Robert confess to Aaron’s mother Chas that he had slept with Rebecca in a drunken attempt to get back at him for pushing him away during his prison visit.

But Chas didn’t take the news lightly and gave her son’s husband a slap across the face, but not before telling him: “I always knew you were wrong for Aaron. I told him so many times after what you did to Katie and then Chrissy.

“The countless lives you’ve ruined. I convinced myself you had changed because Aaron loved you.”

And Robert’s incessant apologising didn’t change things, as Chas barked back: “It’s a bit late now. You made a commitment to each other just a few weeks ago. Doesn’t that mean anything to you?” before telling him to get out of her sight for good.

Emmerdale continues Monday at 7pm on ITV.
