After Pierce (Jonathan Wrather) raped her on their wedding day, Rhona’s (Zoe Henry) feelings towards her first husband, Paddy Kirk (Dominic Brunt), began to resurface.
Although Paddy (played by Dominic Brunt) has moved on with his former flame Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), Rhona (Zoe Henry) is still working to get over him.
In an effort to recover from the heartache, she will ask Pete (Anthony Quinlan) out for a drink next week in Emmerdale.
Doug Potts (Duncan Preston) had been telling Rhona to go for it with Paddy, but a miscommunication lead to her thinking that he meant Pete.
The two meet up at The Woolpack where they get on like a house on fire, and they both want more.
Eventually they head back to the Barton house where things quickly escalate and the two head upstairs for some bedroom antics.
New photos released by ITV show the pair locked in a passionate kiss in the living room before they up the ante.
Meanwhile, Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) makes the decision to tell Paddy that Rhona still holds a torch for him, and that he should leave her to move on.
While he initially agrees with her, Paddy can’t help but feel jealous when he sees Rhona leaving Pete’s home the next morning.
Rhona will find herself having to defend her actions after Paddy confronts her over the night of passion.
Judging by his reaction, it is clear he isn’t over her.
Paddy was the one looking to rekindle the romance not long ago, however Rhona wasn’t ready.
Her rape at the hands of Pierce last year deeply affected Rhona, and impinged on her relationship with Paddy.
Pete has also experienced a turbulent love life after ex-wife Debbie Dingle (Charley Webb) split up with him because she loved his brother, Ross (Michael Parr).
