EastEnders' viewers spot St Patrick's Day GAFFE during Bex's bullying scenes

The harrowing scenes saw Bex (played by Jasmine Armfield) suffer a vicious attack at the hands of school bullies.

She was held against her will in the school toilets before Alexandra (Sydney Craven) and Madison (Seraphina Beh) pinned her down and wrote “dirty” on her forehead whilst her ex-best friend Louise Mitchell (Tilly Keeper) watched on.

Later in the episode, a teacher found an inconsolable Bex hiding in the toilets before the school girl finally admitted the awful extent of her bullying.

The three bullies were then dragged to the teacher’s office to be interrogated over her claims.

Whilst Alexandra went inside for questioning, Louise and Madison were left to wait for their turn.

Madison sent Louise a harrowing message which read: “Remember, say nothing.”

It was at this point confused viewers noticed that the date of the text was actually February 17, not March.

The date is particularly poignant as it was St Patrick’s Day, which was even celebrated in the show in The Queen Vic.

Fans took to Twitter, with one saying: “Everyone is saying about how good the storyline is and there’s me being mrs marble about Louise’s phone! #eastenders.” [sic]

Another posted: “Wrong month on the phone message @bbceastenders #whoops #filminginadvanceproblems #eastenders.”

A third added: “@bbceastenders So it’s February in EastEnders land??? According to Louise’s phone it is…”

EastEnders continues on Monday at 8pm on BBC
