EastEnders spoilers: Jacqueline Jossa confirms 'CATASTROPHIC' Christmas for Brannings

Max’s scheming has already torn the family apart but it will all come to a head on December 25th.

Jacqueline Jossa, who plays Lauren Branning, has revealed it will be an unprecedented disaster for the family.

“It doesn’t disappoint. In fact, it’s catastrophic, the worst one yet,” the actress divulged in an interview with Radio Times.

The Brannings’ problems have been building for months, mainly due to Max’s secret plans with Weyland and Co. to take over Albert Square.

Last week saw Lauren walk out on Max (Jake Wood) after growing tired of his devious behaviour.

Christmas Day will also mark ten years since Lauren dramatically exposed his affair with Stacey Fowler (Lacey Turner).

The family were torn apart in 2007 after Lauren showed them intimate footage of her father with Stacey.

Jacqueline, 25, admitted: “We don’t even get to sit down for dinner this year. The episodes are wicked.”

Abi Branning actress Lorna Fitzgerald will be leaving the soap this month along with her on-screen sister.

Lorna, 21, claimed: “If you’re going to go, it may as well be at Christmas. The build-up has been huge and what happens is very dramatic.”

EastEnders airs tonight at 8pm on BBC One.

The full interviews with Jacqueline Jossa and Lorna Fitzgerald can be seen in the latest issue of Radio Times, which is out now.
