Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton pregnant again: Could THIS be the royal baby's name?

Duchess of Cambridge, 35, and Prince William, 35, are expecting their third child together, Kensington palace confirmed this morning.

Bookmakers have been taking bets on a third royal baby for the last few weeks, with rumours of the Duchess’s pregnancy rife.

But after today’s announcement what are the latest odds on the royal baby’s name?

Bookmaker Coral has opened betting on the name of their third baby, and make Alice the 7-1 favourite.

Arthur and Victoria are the 10-1 joint second favourites, ahead of Alexandra and Albert, both 12-1.

Coral are even money that they have a boy, the same price it is a girl, and 4-1 that Kate gives birth to twins.

Coral spokesman David Stevens said: “Late last month we had to cut the odds on the royal couple announcing this news to 1-2 from 3-1 and that gamble has proved to be spot on.

“It’s cost us a few quid but we’ll be paying out with a smile after this good news.

“Alice is the early favourite when it comes to the potential name of the royal new arrival, while Diana at 14-1 could prove popular with punters.”

William Hill has also made Alice the 8/1 favourite with Elizabeth and James both 10/1 and Donald is 50/1.

Whether the couple will have twins has been placed by the bookmakers at 33/1.

Bookmaker Coral stopped taking bets on a third royal baby towards the end of August after the firm was inundated with a flurry of bets

Odds were as short as 1-3 before Coral pulled the plug on bets for a new sibling for Prince George and Princess Charlotte.

Coral was however still taking bets on the gender of the royal baby, with a bout being the favourite with odds at 10-11.

Other bookmakers have been taking bets on royal baby names.

Back in August, Paddy Power listed a range of names which included Alice with odds at 8-1, Victoria at 8-1, Arthur at 10-1 and Henry at 10-1.

Georgina, Emma, Harriet, Thomas and Christopher were less popular with odds at 66-1.

The names Hugo, Arabella, Robert and Tabitha were all at 80-1.
