Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton often repeats outfits and THIS is the reason why

The Duchess, Kate, 35, has no qualms about recycling looks.

At the weekend, Kate was spotted leaving Crathie Kirk, a church near Balmoral, after attending a service with the Queen, Prince Philip and Prince William, and she was spotted wearing a jacket she has worn in the past.

The Duchess was wrapped up warm in a burgundy colour Hobbs jacket which was on the rails for £369.

She was first pictured in it back in 2012.

Kate is the unofficial queen of style, and she manages to make old looks come off as entirely new ensembles.

But there’s a reason why she often re-wears key wardrobe pieces and entire outfits.

Fashion writer Simon Glazing told Mail Online there could be more to the Duchess’ wardrobe repeating than her love of a bargain.

It could be to make her more relatable.

He explained: “There has been lots written about the Duchess and Prince William’s spending.

“It’s likely to be the reason why she is thrifty with her wardrobe and often recycles dresses and coats. Even a princess has to dress on a budget.”

There are some other reasons why the Duchess dresses the way she does.

Kate is rarely seen without a clutch bag at official engagements.

Myka Meier, the founder of Beaumont Etiquette, told Good Housekeeping the Duchess holds her bag in front of her in both hands when shaking hands might be awkward.

While a clutch bag might be a good excuse to avoid uncomfortable situations, there is a host of things the Duchess needs to remember to do when holding them.

Myka revealed there is certain etiquette a royal must uphold when donning a clutch.

According to the etiquette expert, if Kate does need the use of one hand, she can place the clutch bag in the other hand.

But it should never be tucked under an arm or placed on the ground or table.
