Does Princess Beatrice have a boyfriend? Eugenie engagement sparks romance questions

Princess Eugenie of York, 27, announced her engagement to Jack Brooksbank, 30, last week.

She showed off a large pink sapphire ring from Jack, was a manager at Mahiki nightclub in Mayfair, a popular royal haunt.

The news of the impending nuptials caused many to wonder about the state of Eugenie’s older sister Princess Beatrice’s love life.

The 29-year-old old daughter of Prince Andrew, 57, and Sarah Ferguson, 58, is likely to be her sister’s bridesmaid – but will she take a plus one to the reception?

It looked like Beatrice might marry a few years ago, when she had been in a 10-year relationship.

The granddaughter of the Queen dated Dave Clark and it was reported by the Daily Mail that family members were “shocked” that the couple split.

A source told the Mail on Sunday at the time: “After ten years together, Beatrice and Dave had to wonder why they were not married.

“They talked it through and decided to take time apart to reflect on the future. They remain friends and the decision to break up was mutual.”

Dave was the head of external affairs for Uber for several years. He became engaged to his new partner, Lynn Anderson, in May 2017.

Dave and Prince William are said to have become friends after meeting studying in Scotland.

Princess Beatrice has not appeared to make any relationships since the breakup official.

However, she caused whispers when she seemed to take a date on a night out with her sister and Jack Brooksbank on December 21, 2017.

The pair visited a members club in Soho, and left with a mystery male companion.

Could this man be Princess Beatrice’s boyfriend?

Sarah Ferguson wrote a heartfelt letter to her daughter Princess Eugenie upon her engagement.

In the open letter, the Duchess of York described Eugenie’s engagement announcement as “great and happy news”.

“Dearest Eugenie and Jack The Man, when you walk into a room, you bring smiles to the faces of all who meet you.”
