DIY SOS: Nick Knowles hits out at Jules Perryman ‘Do you mind?’

However, in usual DIY SOS fashion there were several squabbles between the crew.

As long-time viewers will know, it was all just a bit of fun as part of the show.

Nick presented a segment to camera from the garden, saying: “For the first time ever on the house, we may even be ahead of schedule!

“So, we’ve got to what would normally be the end of the day, but we’re…”

At this point, Julian Perryman drove a noisy digger behind Nick to ruin his filming segment.

Nick jokingly snapped: “Do you mind? I’m trying to do a piece to camera about the end of the day here!”

All in good fun, Jules teased: “Alright, carry on!”

Nick continued: “As you can see, we’re still working and will be till a great deal later.

“Normally at the end of the day, I take you around the building, but I don’t want to do that because…”

At this point, Jules reversed the noisy digger in to shot.

Nick carried on saying his lines while looking at Jules, adding: “I want you to see what it’s like when we’ve done…”

As the digger continued to drown out Nick’s microphone, he jokingly flipped into a rage, snapping: “That’s it!

“I’m not. Seriously, if you’re not going to take this seriously…”

Jules then laughed: “Oh, sorry,” prompting Nick to smile and say: “See you in the morning.”

Tonight’s episode focused on four vulnerable children who were adopted, three with complex special needs.

They desperately needed space and dignity, but the only viable option was to knock their entire house down and start again.

The flimsy structure and impractical design of the house meant it was best to demolish the property.

The team demolished the bungalow and in just nine days built an entirely new bespoke five-bedroom home.

It was all thanks to the amazing goodwill, hard work and generosity of the local community and trades.

DIY SOS continues next Wednesday on One at 9pm.
