Dancing On Ice 2018: Star issued shock ultimatum 'I don't want to be in that studio'

Ahead of tonight’s fourth round on Dancing On Ice, Alex Beresford has confessed he’s been issued an ultimatum from his Good Morning Britain co-stars.

The ITV weatherman, who is partnered with Brianne Delcourt, explained that Piers Morgan has warned him not to embarrass the team.

Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, Alex noted: “Piers has said that I need to be better than Charlotte [Hawkins].

“He said, ‘If you don’t get past week three or week four, which is when Charlotte went out [of Strictly Come Dancing], you’re going to be a massive embarrassment.’

“Most of us have now had a go at either Strictly or Dancing on Ice and none of us has done that well.”

Susanna’s [Reid] probably did the best, she got to the semi-final or the final of Strictly,” the father-of-one continued.

“So it’s massive pressure to do well and the last thing I want to do is get voted off on the Sunday and turn up to work on Monday morning with Piers Morgan.

“You know he’s going to give it to you. I don’t want to be in that studio with him to give him the opportunity.”

Alex also went on to address Piers’ recent jibes that he will fall victim to the Dancing on Ice “curse”.

He laughed: “He can say what he wants. Me and Brianne have a great relationship.

“[My wife] Natalie and Brianne, they talk to each other, they laugh with each other. It’s a bit of banter.

“Natalie actually told me not to hold back. Just give a good performance.”

The 37-year-old added that he “really respects” his partner, commenting: “Brianne’s a tough cookie but she’s also looking after her baby.

“She’s breastfeeding, she runs off in rehearsals to go home and breastfeed and then comes back and cracks on with it. It’s amazing to see.”

Dancing On Ice continues tonight on ITV at 6pm.
