Countryfile viewers distracted as BBC weather forecaster makes shock change

meteorologist Sarah Keith-Lucas delivered the forecast on tonight’s BBC News, but less than an hour later, presented another forecast for viewers.

While fans were looking forward to hearing about the weather for the week ahead, they were distracted to notice a change that Sarah had made.

To present the weather just seconds before the Countryfile episode, Sarah was dressed in more formal attire of a white top and black and white skirt.

However, less than an hour later, Sarah had changed her outfit, distracting those who had tuned in just moments before the start of Countryfile.

For her Countryfile presentation, Sarah wore a checked button-down purple shirt and a pair of blue jeans.

Viewers instantly took to social media following the change.

One weather fan tweeted: “#Countryfile strange Sarah was suited and booted earlier.”

“Has that presenter just changed her clothes for Countryfile? Ha! Must have got the checked shirt memo!” posted another eagle-eyed viewer.

A third gushed: “Weather looking good in check shirt #countryfile #weather.”

“#Countryfile ladies on TV #weathergirl fits right in checked shirt and jeans perfection @BBCCountryfile,” wrote another.

A fifth smiled: “Celebrating women on #Countryfile and the weather presenter hasn’t let us down. #checkshirt.”

“Love a bit of Sarah on Sunday! #Countryfile,” gleamed another.

However, Sarah did draw a few critics, with one teasing: “Reminds me, I need a new tablecloth. #countryfile.”

“Is it dress down day on #bbcweather #Countryfile?” posted another.

A third huffed: “Weather girl on #CountryFile why is she dressed like she’s just come back from a Line Dancing competition?

“I want my meteorologists to look smart when they’re telling me that it’s going to p**s down all week…”

One fan even tweeted the presenter questioning her choice of shoes.

They asked: “@SarahKLweather we are discussing what footwear you have on whilst presenting the country file weather…I’m going for converse.”

The presenter posted a photograph of her brown boots and teased: “At least it isn’t my slippers this time!”

Tonight’s Countryfile episode, titled Countryfile’s Inspirational Women, saw Anita Rani in Yorkshire celebrating some of the many women who have been featured on the programme over the years.

continues next Sunday on One at 7pm.
