The kebab shop worker will find herself head over heels in love but with the hunky mysterious man but little does she know he is also super rich.
Gemma (played by Dolly Rose Campbell) will be so thrilled with her new boyfriend that she will parade him around the Rovers Return.
As she flaunts her beau, one Weatherfield resident is left stunned when she recognises the young man.
Liz McDonald (Beverley Callard) tells Gemma: “Well you have certainly landed on your feet there lady,” leading her to believe she’s jealous of her beau.
But the barmaid will then drop the bombshell that not only is Gemma’s boyfriend good-looking, he is also made of money.
Gemma’s boyfriend Henry is the grandson of Cecil Newton (Kenneth Alan Taylor), the boss of the brewery behind the Rovers and the man who infamously fell for Coronation Street legend Bet Lynch (Julie Goodyear).
Speaking about the storyline, an insider told the Daily Star: “Gemma is simply knocked for six by the revelation.
“It means he is not only handsome but he’ll be hear to the Newton and Ridley fortune.”
Cecil was killed off in 2003 before he tied the knot with Bet, when his son Philip (Malcolm Scates) caused a huge argument that triggered the heart attack.
Fans will have to wait and see whether Gemma’s new boyfriend takes after his father or grandfather but it looks as though the kebab shop worker is moving up in the world.
