Clayton Hibbs (played by Callum Harrison) will plunge a knife through Shona Ramsey’s (Julia Goulding) stomach in a terrifying episode of Coronation Street.
The convict, who previously killed Kylie Platt, will take his own mother hostage after staging a jail break.
While David Platt (Jack P. Shepherd) flees Weatherfield with his children to avoid the killer, Clayton will kidnap his girlfriend Shona.
ITV viewers will see Shona try and convince her son to turn himself in, but when he finally trusts her she makes a run for it.
Furious she has betrayed him and worried about what will happen next, Clayton stabs her as she tries to escape.
At the end of the scene, Shona is covered in blood and laying on the ground.
Will Shona succumb to her injuries? Clayton has already killed once, so what’s another notch to his belt.
Discussing the dramatic episode, actor Callum, who plays the murderer, said Clayton is “scared” when Shona turns her back on him.
“She tries to get through to him and in the end, she gets through to him, and then she betrays him by making a run for it,” he told The Sun.
“He takes her hostage and they share an intimate moment, they share a hug and she thinks she’s got through to him so Clayton drops the knife.”
Continuing, he added: “Then a little thing happens and she makes a run for it and that’s when he’s like, ‘No way, you’ve betrayed me’.
“This is unbelievable, really shocked, he can’t believe it, now he’s even more scared, she really got into his head at this point and he’s just like no way have you betrayed me.”
The 20-year-old soap star went on to explain how the cast filmed the dark scenes at an old mansion.
He revealed how the scenery made the shoot feel real and helped him embody his character’s wicked traits.
However, he admitted the area was “disgusting” and “really spooky”.
He spilled: “When we were filming the scene, the scenery really helped when we were filming because it felt like I’d genuinely took her away and kidnapped her.
“Honestly, it was a disgusting place, but it was really good like, it was amazing to do it. It is a really spooky place, the place where we filmed it was on Most Haunted.”
Callum’s on-screen persona is best known for murdering David’s wife and mother of his child, Kylie, in 2016.
The thug stabbed her in the chest as she tried to help Gemma, who was being assaulted by the teen at the time.
