After his heartbreaking split from wife Michelle Connor (played Kym Marsh), Steve (Simon Gregson), will propose to Leanne Battersby (Jane Danson).
After finding out that he was the father of baby Oliver, Steve and Leanne will agree to move in to co-parent and raise their son together.
Leanne is stunned, however, when he makes a shock proposal.
Coronation Street fans will be on tenterhooks waiting to find out if she says yes to being the sixth Mrs McDonald.
With six weddings and five wives already in his relationship history, Steve certainly doesn’t appear to have any trouble heading down the aisle.
Fans of the ITV soap thought he had settled for good with Michelle, even watching the pair go through the heartbreaking storyline of her tragic miscarriage earlier this year.
But they were torn apart by the news that Steve was Oliver’s father when he broke the news publicly in dramatic scenes in February.
A devastated Michelle punched her friend Leanne in the face when she finally found out the truth, before lashing out at Steve, blaming him for destroying their relationship.
How will Michelle react when she finds out that he wants to wed Leanne, and will Leanne go through with his plan to be together as a family for baby Oliver?
