The former wife of Rolling Stone Ronnie Wood is mum to Jamie, Leah and Tyrone, and stepmother to Jesse.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST MEMORABLE HOLIDAY?
A safari to Kenya. I went with my ex-husband just after my dad died. I’d always wanted to go and I loved it so much that, six weeks later, we took the children back.
I loved being in the middle of nowhere, where you could look out and not see another person – just animals.
We camped, we had a campfire and it was just the most fantastic adventure, with the feeling that there were animals out there and you could be eaten alive.
Tyrone was only six at the time and there we were putting sticks down holes and getting ants out – we became like the Swiss Family Robinson!
After I split from Ronnie, I went back with Jerry Hall and our children. It’s a beautiful place.
AND YOUR WORST?
The Seychelles – it rained the entire time. It didn’t just rain a little bit, it rained from morning to night. We were so bored.
My son-in-law and I even went into the kitchen to ask if we could cook – we needed to do something.
BEST SOUVENIR?
In Miami, I went to a flea market and found the most beautiful chandelier for $ 100 – it’s made of what looks like pearls and it’s in my bathroom now.
I was so determined to have it, I carried it home. I put it in a bag and people must have been thinking, what has that crazy woman got in there?
BEST BOOK?
One of the first books I ever read on holiday was The House On The Strand by Daphne du Maurier.
The kids were screaming and fighting and I couldn’t put the book down.
They were saying: ‘Mum! Come on, stop reading that book!’
HOW DO YOU SPEND YOUR TIME ON HOLIDAY?
Because I’ve got a little house in Murcia, Spain, that’s the only holiday I’ll go on.
It’s up in the mountains and when I get there, I’m so busy.
I like to explore and go for long walks and I have people staying with me, so I’m cooking for them. I haven’t had a holiday where I do nothing for a good few years.
WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO REVISIT?
I’d love to go back to Japan – I was always there on tour and I’d love to go sightseeing.
I always want to go to new places. The more wild and wilderness the better for me.
WHERE ARE YOU OFF TO NEXT?
Spain. I try to get out there as much as I can. Last year, I was doing up my house and this year I need to start appreciating it.
I go with my partner Paul. He’s good fun on holiday. He’ll want to go to check out all the bars and he’s handy to have around.
You know, a man loves a jet wash!
