The 52-year-old appeared to wear a blank stare as she told fellow housemate that the ghost of Derek Acorah’s grandmother had told him to smoking so many cigarettes.
Spiritual medium Derek, 67, responded by telling her and the rest of the housemates: “That’s my nan, she always tells me to stop smoking.”
The moment left many people unsettled as the usually bubbly reality star really looked like she was channelling a spirit of some sort.
Many people took to social media to discuss the strange moment on the Channel 5 series with one person posting: “Nah but wtf just happened to Sandy…I’m so creeped out #CBB.”
A second questioned: “Bro what???? When Derek was doing the ghost s**t was Sandy possessed or what I’m mad confused #cbb.”
A third exclaimed: “Is Sandi possessed holy s**t #CBB.”
“Me when Sandi started channelling spirits out of nowhere #CBB,” wrote another person on Twitter along with a picture of a shocked face.
The scenes were part of a task set by Big Brother and involved Derek summoning spirits to the Elstree Compound, leaving his housemates suitably spooked by the strange goings-on.
Among the ghosts brought to the house were apparently people who had worked at Elstree Studios previously, including someone called Malcolm who appeared to be a vengeful wraith.
At one point Derek appeared to be talking to someone in the darkness: “So be aware you hurt my friend, my colleague, good energy.”
Moments later it seemed like there was a ghost in the room as something appeared to rush past Karthik Nagesan as he jumped and looked visibly shaken.
“What the f**k is that all about?” he exclaimed as he hugged Derek for protection.
