Channel 4 has now confirmed that The Surjury, which saw contestants pitch their dream bodies, hosted by Caroline Flack has been cancelled in the wake of the presenter’s death. The programme was set to be released later this year, a show which Caroline passionately defended after the concept received criticism.
Former Love Island host Caroline Flack was found dead yesterday in her flat after taking her own life.
A family spokesperson said: “We can confirm that our Caroline passed away today on the 15th February.
“We would ask that the press respect the privacy of the family at this difficult time.”
Just a day after the tragic event, Channel 4 has revealed that they will no longer be airing the new reality show.

“Caroline was a much loved member of the Love Island team and our sincere thoughts and condolences are with her family and friends.”
She hosted I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here Now! from 2009 until 2010 before hosting The Xtra Factor in 2011 until 2013.
She went on to take part and win Strictly Come Dancing in 2014 with Pasha Kovalev before she landed a hosting role on The X Factor alongside Olly Murs.
The host stepped down from Love Island after she was charged with assaulting her boyfriend Lewis Burton before Christmas.
Laura Whitmore stepped in as her replacement and has been the one giving the islanders updates and support ever since.
Caroline was due in court next month, having always insisted her innocence.
The newest series of Love Island is the first of its kind as not only is it a winter version but it is also set in South Africa.
Following the sad news, some people have wondered whether ITV bosses will cancel Love Island for good after the tragic loss.
A huge number of celebrities came forward to pay tribute to Caroline, but a lot of them are questioning whether the show can continue.
This Morning host Eamonn Holmes tweeted: “Caroline Flack… Dear God. Shocked beyond belief. May she have found peace.
“Has to be repercussions for Love Island now surely?”
