Call of Duty WW2 beta dates and gameplay: E3 2017 reveals for Sony showcase

Fans of the Call of Duty franchise will get to see more gameplay tonight during the PlayStation Conference.

It has also been confirmed that we’ll find out Call of Duty WW2 beta release date for the PS4.

More news is likely to be shared for Xbox One players after the show.

The Sony E3 2017 presentation begins at around 2am BST, on the morning of June 13.

A new trailer and Call of Duty multiplayer gameplay will be revealed onstage, with Activision confirming that it will also be available to play during the week of E3.

“Call of Duty: WWII is available for preorder now, and look for special announcements about the upcoming Private Beta during E3,” the message explains.

“Call of Duty: WWII Multiplayer will be playable on PlayStation 4 consoles at both the Activision Booth (South Hall #1001) and the PlayStation Booth (West Hall #4322).”

As mentioned above, the Call of Duty WW2 beta will likely be available to pre-order customers only.

There’s the chance that an Call of Duty WW2 open beta could be announced, or some kind of code-sharing provided to fans who have pre-ordered the title.

To get a Call of Duty WW2 beta code, you will need to pre-order Call of Duty: WWII for PlayStation 4 or Xbox One from a participating retailer.

There will be no private beta on PC, only on PS4 and Xbox One.

As usual the experience you build up during the Call of Duty WW2 beta will not cross over to the main game, with no release dates confirmed yet for when it will launch.

The beta will last a minimum of three days, although the PS4 version will likely last longer as it will launch first, before the Xbox One.

We could also see new theaters of war during the new trailer, although we already know that it will focus heavily on Western Europe.

Multiplayer will be one of the biggest reveals of the night, with more details surrounding the change in gameplay and how teamwork is structured.

The latest reports suggest that the new COD title will do away with the health regen mechanic in both single-player AND multiplayer.

That’s a huge shift but one that makes sense, what with the World War 2 setting.
