Black Panther movie trailer: Chadwick Boseman's Avengers Infinity War prelude – WATCH here

As fans await Spider-Man: Homecoming and Thor: Ragnarok, the teaser for the first of Marvel’s 2018 movies is about to arrive.

First introduced in 2016’s Captain America: Civil War, Boseman played T’Challa, who became King of Wakanda after his father’s sudden death.

Now his alter-ego Black Panther is getting his very own solo outing before Avengers Infinity War, set in the fictional African kingdom.

The first trailer is due to land in the next few hours, so make sure to check back here later.

But until then fans can have a glimpse at the first Black Panther poster, which shows T’Challa in his superhero outfit, sitting on his Wakandan throne.

Looking very kingly, the image is reminiscent of Thor’s Asgard and shows just how tech-savvy the African nation is.

Marvel’s official synopsis reads: “Black Panther follows T’Challa who, after the death of his father, the King of Wakanda, returns home to the isolated, technologically advanced African nation to succeed to the throne and take his rightful place as king.

“But when a powerful old enemy reappears, T’Challa’s mettle as king—and Black Panther—is tested when he is drawn into a formidable conflict that puts the fate of Wakanda and the entire world at risk.”

It added: “Faced with treachery and danger, the young king must rally his allies and release the full power of Black Panther to defeat his foes and secure the safety of his people and their way of life.”

The film will be the last Marvel movie before Avengers: Infinity War is released in April.

Black Panther will be released in UK cinemas on February 16, 2018.
