Black Friday 2017 deals – ‘Aggressive’ iPhone X offers predicted for big sales day

Analysts said they are expecting “aggressive” pricing on the iPhone X as part of the upcoming Black Friday 2017 deals.

Jeffrey Kvaal, a Nomura-Instinet analyst, made the prediction for Black Friday 2017 during an interview with Investor’s Business Daily.

He expects there to be “aggressive promotions” on the iPhone X – despite Apple’s futuristic vision of the smartphone only being out for a few weeks.

The analyst said: “We suspect the need to maintain net (subscriber) add momentum will drive Sprint and T-Mobile to offer aggressive promotions starting around Black Friday”.

The Black Friday prediction was backed up by UBS analyst John Hodulik.

He said: “We believe competition will heat up after the recent abnormal lull as the holiday selling season begins, the iPhone X becomes available and cable enters the mix.”

Kvaal added: “The iPhone X cycle stands out as the best chance in years to entice subscribers to shift carriers. 

“We expect both T-Mobile and Sprint to offer aggressive promos for Black Friday.”

In the UK mobile phone providers have already been offering some enticing deals on the iPhone X ahead of Black Friday 2017.

Mobilephonesdirect.co.uk are currently offering a great deal on the iPhone X from Vodafone.

The 24 month contract has a £99.99 upfront payment and then £56 monthly payments.

This will get you 26GB of data, unlimited UK minutes and unlimited UK texts.

On Three you can get the iPhone X for just £21.99 upfront but then you’ll have to pay £72 a month.

This 24 month contract offers 12GB of data, unlimited minutes and unlimited texts.

With EE it would be a £99.95 upfront cost and £67.99 per month for the iPhone X.

You will get unlimited minutes, unlimited texts, 25GB of data as well as free BT Sport and six months free of Apple Music.

These offers are for the 64GB model of the iPhone X and are for customers getting new contracts – not upgrades.

The Apple iPhone X launched on November 3, with prices starting at £999 for the base 64GB model.

The futuristic smartphone, which has a Super Retina HD display that takes up almost the entirety of the front of the device, comes in silver or space grey colour schemes.
