When is Better Call Saul season 4 released on Netflix?
Show bosses have confirmed that Better Call Saul will be released this autumn on Netflix.
The Breaking Bad spin-off series is slated for a September premiere, according to executive producer Thomas Schnauz.
Speaking at the Vancouver Film Festival last year, he said: “We do come back in September and as long as the show continues, we’re going to hit that September mark every year.”
The September debut is a change from the show’s normally scheduled spring releases.
It is produced by the AMC network but streams on Netflix weekly in the UK and Ireland.
How many episodes will be in Better Call Saul season 4?
The prequel series will be back for another 10 episodes in the autumn.
Seasons one to three also contained 10 episodes.
Filming began in January and co-creator Peter Gould heralded the new season by tweeting: “We are….. rolling!!! #BetterCallSaul #Season4 #ABQ.”
The tweet was accompanied by a photo of the season four clapper board.
What will happen in Better Call Saul season 4?
No major plot points have been revealed about the season four script just yet.
However, fans can expect the series to pick up with the aftermath of the fire in Chuck’s (played by Michael McKean) house.
The ambiguous ending left questions over whether Chuck survived but it seems likely he died.
Season four also brings Jimmy (Bob Odenkirk) closer to his full transformation into Saul Goodman.
The further along the season gets, the closer the timeline gets to the events of Breaking Bad, paving the way for a possible Walter White (Bryan Cranston) appearance.
Audiences could potentially look forward to other crossovers from Breaking Bad and somewhere down the line, a look at how Jimmy managed to set up his own law firm under his alias Saul Goodman.
One thing is certain though, season four will begin to get a lot “darker”.
Director Vince Gilligan told The Independent: “If you think of Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul in terms of a Venn diagram, the overlap is getting bigger and bigger, and therefore Better Call Saul is getting darker in season four.”
Who is in the cast of Better Call Saul season 4?
