The meteorologist was in the festive spirit as she dazzled in a black sparkly number for the BBC Breakfast segment.
And Carol’s choice of outfit caught the attention of presenter Naga Munchetty this morning.
She said: “Carol, you’re in sparkling form today. Her inner sparkle has come out.”
Those watching also loved her eye-catching dress as one viewer wrote on Twitter: “Good morning Carol, looking stunning this morning could the day get any better.”
Another commented: “@carolkirkwood loving the sparkly frock today xx.”
“@carolkirkwood you look stunning this morning,” a third added.
However, Carol’s sparkly dress didn’t match the weather outside as the popular presenter said it will be pretty grey today.
In the south west, there will be some drizzle and in East Anglia and the Midlands, there will be a lot of cloud around.
Northern England and central Scotland will see patchy fog to start the day compared to northern Scotland, which will enjoy a fine start.
Patchy fog will also be seen in Northern Ireland and Wales.
Temperatures will remain mild with a range from six degrees celsius in Aberdeen to 12 degrees celsisus in Cardiff.
It will be another cloudy day tomorrow and Carol also made her prediction for Christmas Day with rain expected in the northern half of the UK but it will be mild.
