BBC weather: Carol Kirkwood thrills fans with cheeky comment – ‘The bigger the better!’

The 55-year-old meteorologist looked as glamorous as ever as she opted for a stunning navy frock.

Before she delivered the forecast, BBC Breakfast presenter Charlie Stayt asked Carol how she likes to consume coffee following a segment on caffeine.

She said: “I say the bigger the better Charlie. I love a huge mug of coffee in the morning. This four a day, crikey, I have four an hour.”

Those watching couldn’t help but comment on the quip as one viewer wrote on Twitter: “@carolkirkwood when Carol Kirkwood says the bigger the better you know it’s going to be a great Thursday.”

Another said: “@carolkirkwood is a magnificent woman! Would love to take her for a huge cup of coffee #bbcbreakfast.”

“@carolkirkwood absolutely the bigger the better when it comes to coffee,” a third added.

Carol warned viewers it will be turning colder over the next few days and said there will be a mixture of rain, snow, sunshine and showers today.

This morning, there will be heavy snow falling on Aberdeenshire but this will push away in the next few hours.

Northern Ireland and northern England will both see heavy showers to start the day while the rest of the country will see patchy rain.

Carol said it won’t be as windy as it was yesterday and temperatures will range between three degrees celsius in northern Scotland to eight in Manchester and 14 in London.

This evening, it will be cold with widespread frost across the UK and there will also be a risk of ice.

Tomorrow, the cold frost remains but there will be some dry weather and sunshine although temperatures will drop to nine degrees celsius in southern England.

BBC Breakfast continues weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
