BBC Breakfast in FOUL-MOUTHED blunder as reporter accidentally insults entire town

Dan, 40, took to Twitter to joke about the incident; which saw the team head down to Cromer to discuss the lack of fishermen.

However, when one of BBC Breakfast’s roving reporters – who was broadcasting live from Aldeburgh – was filling in viewers about how the area had been taken over by tourists instead, it sounded like she made a foul-mouthed gaffe when praising the town for its famous seafood.

Laughing about the mishap, one viewer posted: “Cromer is famous for its c**p…who knew?! @BBCBreakfast #subtitles.”

Another shared a screen grab of the miswritten subtitles, alongside the message: “I see BBC Breakfast is not a fan of Cromer.”

Dan was quick to pick up on the whole thing, with him sharing a snap of the screen with the caption: “Someone call Dave in subtitles… CRABS…we said CRABS.”

The comments certainly didn’t end there, with another fan posting: “Can’t stop laughing.”

“A bit harsh on Cromer me thinks,” a different social media user joked.

The latest blunder comes after presenter Jon Kay appeared to forget Matt Taylor’s name while delivering Friday’s weather forecast.

As he finished his piece, the meteorologist thanked Matt for delivering the morning forecast but got his name mixed up with another.

Jon said: “We’ll make the most of it Mike thanks… erm Matt.”

Co-host Naga Munchetty then responded: “Who?”

BBC Breakfast continues weekdays at 6am on BBC One.
