Audiences are still trying to recover from the emotional highs and very lows of Infinity War.
Thanos may have demanded our silence, but he could have warned us to bring tissues.
As feared, Avengers 3 finally delivered the biggest losses in superhero history. Many fans are already convinced that the final scenes can somehow be reversed, but what about the other heartbreaking losses from earlier in the movie?
One particular death was almost unbearable to watch but the biggest hope actually lies in the how and where that death took place.

Watching the Mad Titan hurl his most beloved daughter over the cliff of Vormir was unbearable to watch.
The Soul Stone demands a brutal sacrifice measured by love. Gamora learned that her adopted father really did love her in the very moment he killed her.
So, how were we able to see her again later in the movie? In the final scenes, Thanos talks with Gamora. Is this the key to her return?

Gamora manifests in that final moment as the young child Thanos adopted (abducted) all those years before.
Somehow she still exists inside the Soul Stone. She is not gone, she has not passed over into death.
This ties in with the latest Infinity comicbook series where part of Gamora’s soul is inside the Soul Stone and she talks with Adam Warlock there.
It also loops back to the Russo bothers’ cryptic statement that to find Thanos’ only weakness you have to look to his personal life.
Saldana herself dropped a huge clue when she described the last day shooting Infinity War: “It felt like a TBC [to be continued], because I know that we will all have to come back at some point and finish up the second [movie], the fourth instalment of Avengers. So it felt like a ‘see you later’, it didn’t feel like a formal goodbye.”
This confirms the star will definitely be seen in Avengers 4.
Will it be flashbacks, video footage from Nebula’s databanks, Soul Stone visions with Thanos or – as most believe – a full return to life for Gamora?

It now seems clear she is somehow still alive (or at least not dead) inside the Soul Stone. Star-Lord might be overjoyed at the news if he hadn’t be blown to dust in the Snap.
Avengers 4 has a lot of explaining to do…
