Arsenal in TURMOIL: Players turn on each other as pressure mounts on Arsene Wenger

The Gunners fell to a shock 2-1 defeat at the hands of Brighton at the weekend, leaving them 13 points adrift of the top four.

Wenger is facing increasing pressure to step down with Arsenal now having lost six of their last eight matches in all competitions.

Arsenal fans have grown increasingly frustrated with their side’s performances this season and there were hundreds of empty seats for the game against Manchester City last Thursday.

However, the frustration has seemingly creeped into the Arsenal dressing room as well.

That’s according to The Sun, who claim Mesut Ozil, Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Shkodran Mustafi are all in the firing line from their own team-mates.

It is said players have grown increasingly angry with Ozil’s reported lack of effort in games, despite the Germany international being handed a club-record new contract.

And Mkhitaryan has also failed to impress his new colleagues since joining from Manchester United in January.

Mustafi has also taken slack in the Arsenal dressing room for reportedly not accepting blame when the team concede goals.

The report suggests team morale is at an all-time low with Arsenal’s only hope of salvaging the season resting in the Europa League.

But they face a tricky round of 16 tie against Serie A giants AC Milan with the first leg this Thursday (6pm).
