Kate Garraway ends Peter Stringfellow interview after joke on GMB: ‘Last night was good'

The famed nightclub owner appeared on the ITV programme to defend become a father in his seventies, following the news that Billy Joel is expecting his third child at 68-years-old.

Peter, 77, welcomed his fourth child, Rosabella, at 72, and appeared on Good Morning Britain to stress that fatherhood is fine at any age.

However, he informed Kate, 50, and her co-host Richard Madeley that last night was the “cut off”.

He also smirked as he explained he had a “good night” with his wife Bella Stringfellow yesterday.

“Alright,” Kate gasped, as they ran out of time. “And that’s as good a way to end it as any.”

Richard, 61, teased: “I think we’re going to have to give you a vasectomy young man.”

Peter beamed as he spoke of his 26-year-old spouse, adding: “Life is wonderful, I’m enjoying it, my kids are enjoying it.

“My wife is delicious, she’s gorgeous and I adore her. I’m the luckiest man in the world.”

Richard finished: “I’ve known you for 30 years and if anyone is for living in the moment, it’s you.”

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV.
