Jose Mourinho react to Sanchez swap deal
06.30: Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho claims he is not “unconfident” that Alexis Sanchez will move to Old Trafford.
However, any potential deal could see Henrikh Mkhitaryan go in the opposite direction.
“I am not confident, but also not unconfident,” Mourinho said.
“Just relaxed and we have the feeling that he is an Arsenal player.
“We have the feeling that he can stay there. But also the feeling that he can move and if he moves, I think we have a chance.
And on Mkhitaryan Mourinho added: “Is he going to be involved in a deal and leave us? It’s possible but it’s also possible that he stays.”
Aubameyang and Giroud swap deal
05.45: Arsenal are plotting a shock swap deal for Borussia Dortmund’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to reports.
The Gunners look set to lose Alexis Sanchez to Manchester United as the two clubs near a £35million deal.
Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed that Henrikh Mkhitaryan could move in the opposite direction as part of the transfer.
But Arsene Wenger wants to strengthen his squad further and would offer Olivier Giroud to the German outfit to tempt them to part with Aubameyang on the cheap.
Dortmund are thought to be holding out for £60m for their forward.
But according to the Sun, Arsenal are willing to offer £30m plus Giroud.
Arsenal warned about Mahrez price
05.00: Liverpool and Arsenal have been told to stump up an incredible amount of money if they wish to prize Riyad Mahrez away from Leicester.
Leicester boss Claude Puel says that Mahrez is currently enjoying his football in the midlands.
And he claims that if any of England’s top clubs want the 26-year-old then he would cost “more than £100m” to take him from the King Power Stadium.
“Perhaps; maybe in the summer he will cost even more than £100m,” Puel said.
“It’s just rumours, noise about him.
“We can see Riyad smile, enjoying his football, enjoying to play with his team-mates.
“After the training session he continues to play, I wanted him to stay rested, but it’s perfect.”
