X-Men news: Guess which TV star wants to replace Hugh Jackman as Wolverine?
One person who has come forward is Pablo Schreiber, currently in American Gods but perhaps best known for his role as Pornstache in Orange Is The New Black.
Speaking to Comicbook.com, he said he was a huge fan of the character when he was growing up – and would be happy to step into Jackman’s shoes.
“I was a huge fan growing up of Wolverine and of Daredevil,” he revealed.
“Those are my two favorite guys and I would jump at the chance to play either one of them in a second.
“And you know I think Hugh is done now with Wolverine, so maybe it’s time for a reboot. Maybe it’s time for a new Wolverine.”
What makes things more interesting is that Pablo’s brother Liev Schreiber has played Wolverine’s brother Sabretooth in X-Men Origins: Wolverine.
“Maybe we can reboot Sabretooth,” Pablo quipped, though added: “I don’t think he would agree to play Sabretooth to my Wolverine.”
Jackman had previously said of his decision to call it a day: “It just felt like it was the right time to do it. And let’s be honest, 17 years.
“I never thought in a million years it would last, so I’m so grateful to the fans for the opportunity of playing it.
“I kind of have in my head what we’re going to do in this last one. It just feels like this is the perfect way to go out.”
He took his final bow in Logan earlier this year.
