The former Islander are made up of Wes Nelson, Eyal Brooker, Samira Mighty and Zara McDermott who all impressed fans with their version of Shawn Mendes’ ‘There’s Nothing Holding Me Back’.
Before viewers got comfortable with the group name, it was changed just days before the live shows.
X Factor presenter Dermot revealed the group’s new name in an interview with BBC Radio One’s Nick Grimshaw yesterday.
Dermot said to Nick: “I think today they’ve changed their name. Is it No Love Lost?”
The tweet said: “The artist formerly known as The Love Islanders are pleased to announce their new name*drum roll* No Love Lost! Much love to everyone who sent in name suggestions!”
Fans seemed to have mixed feelings about the name as one Twitter user wrote: “ That’s so cheesy lol, but it kinda works. #XFactorCelebrity”
Another commented: “I don’t know if I like it.”
“Can think of a better name….. Love them guys but they were the worst apart from the Hoff’s daughter,” another fan added.
The first episode featured a clip of the group where they revealed that they bonded with each other from their time in the villa.
“Prior to Love Island, if you had asked me what was my dream job, it would have been a singer,” Wes told viewers.
The reason the group was formed because they “got on so well” and “because of the camaraderie”, they said.
They were the first ones to sing to the judges and they pulled it off very well.
Judge Simon Cowell said: “For a first audition, bearing in mind where you came from, it was a good performance but it’s finding your distinct sound.”
“It was so good,” Nicole Scherzinger added.
Judge Louis Walsh was also impressed as he said “it was really good.”
There’s no doubt about the group’s vocal ability and chemistry but will they be able to impress the viewers in the live shows?
X Factor Celebrity will air tomorrow at 8.20pm on ITV.
